HP 550

Netbooks are all the craze these days. In such a developing technological world, desktops seem traditional and laptops are fast changing into a trouble more than a convenience. Folk are always active, and as such they want to have access to the Net, access to flicks and music and be ready to snap pictures and upload them to friends and family in a jiffy without lugging around a heavy laptop.

The answer to this is the introduction of the netbook. Netbooks are light-weight and compact. In truth, they can easily fit into a tiny purse or be carried in hand with a cover. A substitute for the awkward laptop, it offers everything the standard laptop has. A netbook has a large hard drive, fast memory, wireless Internet capabilities and chock full of everyday programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe photograph Shop, and video programs.

These mini PCs are excellent for everyone starting from business oriented individuals to the old. They’re ideal for students, teachers, grandparents, writers, in fact, they are good for everyone.

Netbooks are great because they permit all the advantages of the normal laptop at a fragment of the price and the convenience and portability that cannot be found with any other product. The cost of a netbook is generally significantly lower than that of a brand new laptop. They are routinely somewhere in the ballpark of 350 to 400. Of course there are several deals around, and if you research enough you might find one that’s lower than 350.

There are many different types of netbooks out there, from just about unknown brand names to gigantic brands such as Dell, HP and Acer. These huge name brands are offering the alternative to laptops that offers superior function ability and portability. The beauty of the netbook is that’s more functional than a cell telephone without the heaviness of a laptop. It is ideal for taking to the library for study sessions, to take to a friend’s’s house for study sessions, on your way to a meeting or to scribble that perfect essay or article on the aeroplane.

Like regular computers, netbooks also come in a selection of colors. It is not a dull piece of appliances, instead it offers customization

One of the most galvanizing traits of the netbook is the keys are only about 5% percent smaller compared to what you get on the average laptop. So in essence you are not actually losing finger space which makes it straightforward to pen that fast article or essay instead of on a cell telephone.

Overall, netbooks are fast turning into the it gadget to have. This trend is catching on fast so do not get left at the back.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS4: Top Three New Features

1. Related Files

The Photoshop integration which was begun in Dreamweaver CS3 has been enhanced in CS4 to offer via the use of Adobe’s Smart Objects technology. A Photoshop file can be imported directly into Dreamweaver and will automatically come in as a smart object.

Photoshop images are can be inserted using the same techniques as inserting any other image file: Insert – Image; dragging from the Files panel; dragging from the Assets panel; or using the Insert toolbar. A Photoshop-style Optimise window automatically appears and you can choose the settings appropriate for that particular image usually GIF, JPEG or PNG.

Once the image has been imported, an icon is displayed in the upper left of the image indicating that it is a smart object. Also, in the Property Inspector, the location of the original PSD file is shown in a box marked “Original”.

The fact that the image is a smart object means that if we resize it in Dreamweaver, it will automatically be re-optimised and a new version of the image will be generated with the new dimensions. (In previous versions, resizing an image would mean that the browser was responsible for resizing leading to poor image quality.

3. Improvements to CSS styles

The Property Inspector can be used to change the attributes of any element you select on an HTML page. In previous versions of Dreamweaver, changing the attributes of highlighted text would cause the program to create CSS classes with names like “Style1″, “Style2″, etc. in the head area of the current page. This random creation of styles was often responsible for getting new web developers into bad habits.

In Dreamweaver CS4, the Property Inspector contains buttons which allow you to switch between HTML and CSS options. When working in the CSS options, you can now target a specific CSS rule before choosing an attribute or, if necessary, create a new rule.

Buying Cheap Notebooks

laptopsBuying refurbished notebooks is a much cheaper and more effective way to buy notebooks. What is a refurbished notebook anyway? Basically, someone did not like the color of the notebook when they removed the computer from the box, it had a scratch, they thought the CD tray was broke (but was working fine), and on and on.

I have personally owned at least 22 computers in my lifetime (not counting the servers I have bought through the years). One day I decided to buy a Compaq Presario CQ60 for 400 dollars. This computer worked just as efficiently as my HP Pavillion dv9000 for 1,400 dollars.

Most notebook manufactures are loading more computer programs that you dont need or want on the notebooks being sold in todays marketplace; which requires faster processors and more RAM.

So, why buy a computer that costs 1,000 dollars more? To tell you the truth, I cannot give you one solid answer why the HP Pavillion dv9000 is a better deal (for what I do most). Sure you can buy the HP Pavilion around 1,000 dollars now. But why should you spend 600 dollars more when you cannot tell the difference between the two notebooks?

Refurbished notebooks can break just like a standard notebook from the same manufacture, but at least youre getting the computer at a 25% to 50% discount. Its like buying a foreclosed home at steep discount (nearly brand new).

Notebooks that are refurbished normally sell for less than 500 dollars. I would buy two of them simultaneously, so in case you get hit by a virus, or drop the computer”you have a cheap, effective computer waiting in the closet.

Buying cheap notebooks is the best method to accomplish what I do most; which is emailing, internet searches, and writing in Word. You do not need to buy an expensive computer just to accomplish those tasks.

The dawn of low-priced notebooks designed for the average, everyday user with the combined training of these users on how to actually use their notebook has arrived.

Think smart, you do not need the most expensive notebooks to accomplish simple tasks.
